No community can maintain long term economic success without a highly skilled workforce. That is why workforce and talent development are top priorities in Union County. The Union County-Marysville Economic Development Partnership (Partnership) works closely with K-12 districts, the Marysville Early College High School; three career centers, including Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, Tri-Rivers Career Center, and Tolles Career & Technical Center, and institutions of higher education, including Marion Technical College, Columbus State Community College, and Ohio University – Dublin, to advance training and career opportunities for students. Furthermore, as a convener of community stakeholders, the Partnership has launched several talent development initiatives, such as The Marion Technical College Mobile Training Lab, MyLocalCareer.com, YouScience, Union County Young Entrepreneurs Academy, and the Union County Talent Readiness Team, among others. Furthermore, the Partnership is engaged with the North Central Ohio Region Industry Manufacturers Workforce Alliance, Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership, Manufacturing Extension Partnership at Columbus State, and the Columbus Japanese Language School.
